Shaoxiang received his B. Sc. in Mechatronic Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (China, 2018) and his M. Sc. degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany, 2022). During his master, after one year of work at the Formula Student Team at the autonomous group, he started his master thesis at BMW Autonomous Driving Campus in Munich with the topic “Efficient Anomaly Detection”. In March 2023, he joined the Augmented Vision Group at DFKI as a researcher. Now he is working on the project “CORTEX²”. His research interests include deep learning, computer vision, and 3D reconstruction in augmented reality.
