Bernd Krolla studied Physics at the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany (Minors: Computer Science and Business Studies with focus on entrepreneurship).
During his diploma thesis he researched metamaterial-based optical components for terahertz radiation and realized a metamaterial-based gradient index lens for terahertz radiation.
He advanced his programming skills during his studies at Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble (France) as well as during his internship at Deutsche Börse Systems in Frankfurt.
In January 2011, he joined the Augmented Vision Group at German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and is currently pursuing a PhD in the field of computer vision.
Besides his research, he is strongly interested in accompanying start-up companies.
His main research interests are
Multiview Geometry
Structure from Motion
Light Field Imaging
