Two papers accepted at ISMAR 2016

Our research group got two papers accepted at 15th IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR) 2016:

Learning to Fuse: A Deep Learning Approach to Visual-Inertial Camera Pose Estimation
Jason Raphael Rambach, Aditya Tewari, Alain Pagani, Didier Stricker

Augmented Reality 3D Discrepancy Check in Industrial Applications
Oliver Wasenmüller, Marcel Meyer, Didier Stricker

The IEEE ISMAR is the leading international academic conference in the fields of Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. The symposium is organized and supported by the IEEE Computer Society and IEEE VGTC. The 15th ISMAR will be held from 19 – 23 of September in Merida, Mexico.

Paper accepted at BMVC 2016

A paper titled NRSfM-Flow: Recovering Non-Rigid Scene Flow from Monocular Image Sequences  by Vladislav Golyanik, Aman Shankar Mathur, Didier Stricker got accepted at British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC) 2016.

The British Machine Vision Conference is one of the major international conferences on computer vision and related areas. It is organised by the British Machine Vision Association (BMVA). The 27th BMVC will be held at the University of York, 19th-22nd September 2016.

We proudly congratulate the start-up teams of ioxp and 3Digify!

Our former colleagues took the 1st  (ioxp) and 3rd  (3Digify) place in the 4th Südwest-Pitch organized by Startup Westpfalz and SAR.FACTORY.

Papers accepted at CVPR 2016 and ICIP 2016

We are happy to announce that two papers of our research group were accepted for presentation in different conferences.

Paper #1: Gravitational Approach for Point Set Registration by  Vladislav Golyanik, Sk Aziz Ali, Didier Stricker at CVPR 2016 from June26th – July 1st in Las Vegas.

CVPR is the premier annual computer vision event comprising the main conference and several co-located workshops and short courses. With its high quality and low cost, it provides an exceptional value for students, academics and industry researchers.

Paper #2: Joint Pre-Alignment and Robust Rigid Point Set Registration by Vladislav Golyanik, Bertram Taetz, Didier Stricker  at ICIP 2016 from September 25th -28th in Phoenix.

ICIP is the world’s largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on image and video processing and computer vision. The conference will feature world-class speakers, tutorials, exhibits, and a vision technology showcase.
