Abstract:
Background subtraction algorithms are complex in programming logic and run time. Depth information seems to be better suited for the task. We strive to fill this gap, by examining some background subtraction algorithms using depth images. We propose some adaptions and evaluate them different video sequences using ground truth data. We made experiments to test which of the algorithms is the best for background subtraction in depth images.
