Abstract:
In this paper, a novel concept for eco-driving assistance systems for on-road and off-road commercial vehicles is addressed. Aiming at ensuring a trade-off among energy consumption, mission time and optionally driving comfort, an optimization problem is defined and an appropriate solution based on a vehicle model and an environment model is proposed. Furthermore, due to the crucial importance of the visualization and interaction, novel human-centered approaches are presented. The whole concept is evaluated in a lab environment.
