Your tasks

• Participation in research project activities in the fields of 3D Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
• State-of-the-art scientific literature search and authoring of scientific publications

Your qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science (Master or comparable) 
• Strong foundation in several of the following areas: Machine Learning and Deep Learning, 3D Computer Vision, Augmented Reality
• Good programming skills in C++ and Python
• Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Your tasks

• Research, development/implementation and evaluation of methods for the above mentioned challenge
• Active participation in the project, including reports, presentations and demonstrations.

Your qualifications

• Master degree in computer science (or in an equivalent subject, with a  strong relation to computer science) 
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Experiments in programming (Python), machine learning (in particular deep learning)
• Knowledge about spiking neural networks and neuromorphic computing is a plus

Development of new machine learning/computer vision approaches for human performance capture and human interaction, with focus on real-time hand interaction with objects.

Parallel Computing (CPU / GPU), Distributed Computing, High-Performance Computing.

Your qualifications

• A Master Degree in a relevant field (computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering),
• Experience in programming, machine learning (deep learning, neural networks), computer vision (image processing and segmentation, optical flow), human-robot/computer interaction is considered,
• Preferred tech: Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, C++.

Sekretariat und Teamassistenz

Wir suchen zur Verstärkung unseres Sekretariatsteams im Forschungsbereich Augmented Vision des DFKI am Standort Kaiserslautern eine/n Hilfswissenschaftler/in (m/w/d) im Bereich Sekretariat und Teamassistenz. Die Anstellung ist zunächst für sechs Stunden / Woche für sechs Monate. Eine Vertragsverlängerung wird gewünscht. Eine Stundenaufstockung ist nach der Einarbeitung möglich.

Your tasks

• Unterstützung bei allgemeinen Sekretariatsaufgaben (z. B. elektronische und schriftliche Korrespondenz in deutscher und englischer Sprache, Besuchermanagement, Veranstaltungsbetreuung, Posteingang/Postausgang)
• Verwaltungsaufgaben (z. B. Materialverwaltung, Reiseorganisation und -abrechnung, interne Antragsstellung, Inventur)
• Dienstfahrten (z.B. nach Frankfurt zu diversen Konsulaten zur Dokumenteinreichung)
• Betreuung und Organisation des Hiwi-Raums
• Pflege verschiedener Datenbanken

Your qualifications

• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englisch-Kenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Erfahrung im professionellen Arbeiten mit der gängigen Bürotechnik und gängigen IT-Anwendungen (insbesondere MS Office, E-Mail- und Internetanwendungen)
• Informatik- und Technikkenntnisse erwünscht (z.B. Betreuung von Hardware)
• Sicheres und freundliches Auftreten sowie sehr gute Team-, Kommunikations- und Organisationsfähigkeit
